SUICIDE RISK: Asthma Drug SINGULAIR and more
Many drugs currently on the market are commonly prescribed despite their known risks of severe adverse reactions, including suicide. Some of these drugs are marketed without warnings for decades before the FDA finally requires them to carry a”Black Box” warning.
If a drug is a generic version of a name brand, and the name brand had not been required to carry such a warning, generic companies cannot add the warning and, under current law, not responsible for failure to inform customers. This leaves consumers at risk and lacking the ability to make informed consent decisions.
