About Us
Our Vision
Welcome to the TN Chapter of Children’s Health Defense!
Children’s Health Defense® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is ending childhood health epidemics by eliminating toxic exposure. We will restore and protect the health of children by eliminating environmental exposures, holding responsible parties accountable, and establishing safeguards to prevent future harm of children’s health. Protecting Children. Exposing Harms. Seeking Justice.
For too long, complacency among the public has allowed industry corruption and bad policies to thrive. We are putting an end to that.
CHD TN is stepping up to restore & protect health freedom and we’re not going to shut up or sit down until the job is done.
Together with YOU on our team, we will restore health and freedom for future generations.
We seriously cannot do this without YOU. We need each and every one of you to JOIN US NOW. When we all take action, when we make choices in our daily lives to support health and freedom rather than feeding the monster of corruption with our purchases and choices, when we pay attention and get involved in local issues, WE take command of our great state, protecting our children, the environment, and our freedoms.
Our People
TN Chapter Members
Yes, YOU! Success depends on each and every one of our members and volunteers putting their boots on, talking the talk and walking the walk in their everyday lives and in their communities. We build personal and community health by living healthy lives, making healthy personal choices, voting with our purchasing choices, and educating others. Powerful change happens not from the top down (although we work toward that, too), but from the grassroots up. If you’re not signed up yet, do it now! VOLUNTEER.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Founder and former Chairman of the Board and Chief Legal Counsel of Children’s Health Defense, was the founder of Waterkeeper Alliance, the world’s largest clean water advocacy group, and serves as counsel to Morgan & Morgan, a nationwide personal injury practice.
Mr. Kennedy is an esteemed author, with a long list of published books including the New York Times’ bestseller, “Crimes Against Nature.” Mr. Kennedy was named one of Time magazine’s “Heroes for the Planet” for his success helping Riverkeeper lead the fight to restore the Hudson River. His reputation as a resolute defender of the environment and children’s health stems from a litany of successful legal actions. He received recognition for his role in the landmark victory against Monsanto last year, as well as in the DuPont Case that inspired the movie “Dark Waters” (2019).
Jessica Bell’s life experience provides unique insight into the mission of CHD TN. Having recovered from autoimmune illnesses, she knows firsthand that we should not accept illness resulting from food, lifestyle and ubiquitous known environmental toxins found in products. Jessica believes that human and environmental health must become a priority in our current industrialized system.
