TN CHD ‘Day on the Hill’ — Feb. 2025

Join us at The Capitol in Nashville for TN CHD ‘Day-on-the-Hill’!
While we can’t lobby for or against bills, we can talk about issues important to us with legislators, bring legislators educational information, attend committee hearings, and be visibly seen! Wear a MAHA or CHD shirt – (yes, we can bring extras if you’d like to donate $25 or more to the chapter!)
Why February 26th? Two reasons:
- That’s the day the TN chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is having their day on The Hill, pushing vaccines, drugs for obesity, and other concerning practices. CHD members will serve as an antidote to the misinformation. The pharma/doctor lobbyists have been working overtime with the threat of RFK Jr. and now that he’s been confirmed, it will only increase.
- That’s the day HB 1157 will be heard in its first committee, the House subHealth Committee, at noon. This is a GOOD bill! It’s titled “The Restore Trust in Public Health Messaging Act” and would prohibit the Department of Health from making false statements about FDA-regulated products by requiring them to stick to the FDA or EUA labeling of a product. In a nutshell, if Pfizer can’t say it, neither can the DOH, or the governor’s office, or anyone taking state grant money.
HB 1157 is a bill run by Bernadette Pajer. She may have some last minute meetings with committee members, but she is hoping to be able to guide the group much of the day. She will be there with other CHD TN folks when you arrive and get you started.
Time: We will meet up at 9:30 a.m., then head over to where we need to be.
